MAYOR PETERSON DECLARES SNOW EMERGENCY AND ACTIVATES SNOW EMERGENCY ROUTES
In anticipation of a heavy snowfall as predicted by the NationalWeather Service, Mayor Carolyn K. Peterson declared a snow emergency effective 5:00 pm on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 that will remain ineffect until further notice. This declaration shall activate thedesignated Snow Emergency Routes and make it unlawful to park orstand a motor vehicle, except for the expeditious loading orunloading of passengers, upon any portion of any of emergency snowroutes listed during this period of time.

ということで、National Weather ServiceのTompkins County, NY（Ithacaがある郡）のweb Pageを見たところ（accessはIthaca時間夜7時）、部分抜粋ですが以下のように書いてありました。

Wednesday...
Snow. Snow May be heavy at Times. Additional snow accumulation of 12 to 16 inches. Cold with highs 15 to 20. North winds 10 to 20 mph. Gusts up to 30 mph in the afternoon. Chance of snow near 100 percent. Wind chill values as low as 7 below.
Wednesday Night...
Snow in the evening...Then a chance of snow showers after midnight. Additional snow accumulation of 4 to 6 inches. Brisk and cold with lows zero to 5 above. Northwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Chance of snow near 100 percent. Wind chill values as low as 18 below.

今日明日は、大雪なんですね。。大雪警報がでたので、市長が早速緊急事態宣言だしたということでしょう。問題が起こる前の迅速な対応ということで。
そんなイメージつけてもらうために、上記web pageからもってきたSatellite Imageを。Ithacaの場所は、勝手に僕がえいやで入れています。
なんとなく、寒波きてそう（笑）。Imageの詳細な説明が欲しい人は、上記webを参照下さい。
僕まだ図書館にいるのですが、今日はそろそろ引き上げようかな。。。ちなみに雪、微妙に降り出しました。 。。
追記
先回のエントリーのlacrosseのところで、
>シーズン初の練習試合
と書きましたが、ホームのIthacaでの試合が初めてだっただけで、スケジュールによると2/4にもう一試合やってるはずでした。訂正まで。
